The Alpha Course looks at these and other questions, providing a practical introduction to the Christian faith.

Over 9 weeks with food, short talks and discussion groups the course helps guests to explore the meaning of life, revealing that Christianity is as relevant to life today as it was 2000 years ago.

“I had just moved to Darlington, trying to leave my old life behind. Feeling alone and without direction, my brother suggested joining the Alpha Course. I thought “why not, I had nothing else”. On the first night people were so friendly and welcoming, I felt very comfortable. I wasn’t looking for God, just friends, but funnily enough God was looking for me, because halfway through the course I became a Christian. I now have direction and I’m no longer alone. The Alpha course was life changing and I would recommend it to anyone.”
