King’s Church Darlington is led by a group of elders, this page tells you a little about them.
Phil & Sally Hillsdon (Lead Elder)
They met as teenagers and married at the tender ages of twenty one and twenty. Sally trained as a secretary and worked for the University of Oxford as a PA. Phil, along with his father and brother, ran a construction company in Oxfordshire for thirty years. They have two children, Tim and Alice. In 1999 they were called to leave Oxfordshire and moved to lead a Church in Teesside. They have been leading King’s Church since 2008.

Maria works part time with the NHS as a Health Visitor and Paul works for the Health Protection Agency. They have lived in Darlington since 1986. They are also the proud parents of three children and have been in various leadership roles in Durham and Darlington.
