King's Furniture

Welcome
King’s Furniture is a charity reuse scheme which started when one person in the church tried to match up someone in the community who had a need for a piece of furniture with someone else who had some unwanted furniture. A lot has happened since that first informal act of kindness 15 years ago.
The scheme has always been aimed towards those on income based benefits, but all are welcome to come and take a look. We have everything from bedroom, living room and dining room furniture. We also have white goods, small electrical items, clothes and some rare bric a brac treats in our room of paraphernalia.
Last year we recycled over 100 tons of furniture, helping thousands of individuals and families in Darlington and providing over 4,500 pieces of furniture!
Although the scale is bigger now, we are still doing the same thing – demonstrating God’s love and concern in a very practical way to people in need in our community. Any profits made go back into other ministries within the church, including our Foodbank and Community Cafe.
After all, King’s Furniture is not really about furniture, it’s about people!

We rely on your donations, which we greatly appreciate. We’ll consider most types of living room, bedroom, dining room, office, kitchen appliances and other household items like bedding and bikes.
