Creation Care Group

How loving the environment, actually loving God and others.

  • Started 7 Oct
  • The King's Centre

Service Description

We aim to spend time considering the theology of Creation and how caring for the environment is both an act of honouring God and loving others. We will discuss how we can take action at home, at church and as part of the wider community. Our aim is that our group does more than talk, and hope that together we can identify and work on small projects throughout the course of the term. We also intend to hold a prayer meeting prior to the UN Climate Change Conference in November. Whilst the weekly content will be flexible and responsive to the interests of the group and the availability of guest speakers, our plan is to cover these topics: Revelation through Creation- A Call To Worship Theology of Creation and Stewardship The Reality and Repentance The Nitty Gritty of Climate Change Barriers To Action- Problem Solving Action at Home Action as a Body Using Your Voice Further sessions working on projects or following group suggestions We only have space for 7, but do plan to run the group for others in future terms.
